Art Deco, Art Nouveau antique fine jewellery, this is where this little beauty sits. I think this antique ring is late art nouveau, moving into art deco, c1930 as it has the characteristic curves of the early 1900’s, but also features the symmetry of the art deco period, and is platinum set.
The three central old mine cut diamonds represent 1ct, 1 x 0.50 and 2 x 0.25, plus 20 smaller brilliant cut, white diamonds, also totaling approximately 1ct, therefore making this fine antique, platinum, diamond ring, a total of 2 carats! All the diamonds are particularly white, and sparkle brightly. They are secure in their setting, and I can see no reason why this stunning antique diamond ring, could not be worn with confidence, as an everyday ring. There is however, one small black mark on one of the claws. It cant be seen that clearly, but i think this is because at some stage, a claw may have been replaced, which is not uncommon, and it wasn’t polished out. This can be rectified if you feel it is a small distraction, but personally, I wouldn,t bother. The current size of this antique diamond ring is ‘M’ but can be resized at a small extra cost.
